From the parking lot you walk to the beach.
First you pass a tank and a small stone post, with an almost unreadable sign, about Bill Dunn; his ashes where scattered here.
Just before you walk onto the beach is a large stone column to remind you that D-Day (the liberation of Europe) started here.
Tekst on the memorial:
HERE ON THE 6TH JUNE 1944
EUROPE WAS LIBERATED
BY THE HEROISM
OF THE ALLIED FORCES
Above the english text there is also the same text in French.
