[FR] Balzac à séjourné à trois reprises à Issoudun (en avril 1834, en août 1835 et en février-mars 1838). Il était accueilli par son amie Zulma Carraud, dans le belle demeure de Frapesle. Un grand écrivain venait ici se reposer après des séances d'écriture épouvantes. On dit aussi qu'il fuyait Paris pour échapper à ses affaires et ses créanciers.
Monument offert par le docteur Moreau-Defarges, inauguré le 29 juin lors des fêtes du Romantisme à Issoudun.
[EN] Balzac stayed three times in Issoudun (in April 1834, in August 1835 and in February-March 1838). He was hosted by his friend Zulma Carraud, in the beautiful house of Frapesle. A great writer came here to rest after frightening writing sessions. It is also said that he fled Paris to escape his business and creditors.
Monument offered by the doctor Moreau-Defarges, inaugurated on June 29 during the festivals of Romanticism in Issoudun.
