[FR] Lignières est un village français situé dans le département du Cher et la région du Centre-Val de Loire. Ses habitants sont appelés les Ligniérois et les Ligniéroises.
La commune s'étend sur 21,9 km² et compte 1 383 habitants depuis le dernier recensement de la population datant de 2007. Avec une densité de 63,2 habitants par km², Lignières a subi une forte baisse de 15% de sa population par rapport à 1999.
Entouré par les communes de La Celle-Condé, Saint-Hilaire-en-Lignières et Chezal-Benoît, Lignières est situé à 16 km au sud-ouest de Châteauneuf-sur-Cher la plus grande ville des environs.
Situé à 160 mètres d'altitude, la Rivière l'Arnon est le principal cours d'eau qui traverse la commune de Lignières.
[EN] Lignières is a French village located in the Cher department and the Centre-Val de Loire region. Its inhabitants are called the Lignieres and the Lignieres.
The commune covers 21.9 km² and has 1,383 inhabitants since the last population census in 2007. With a density of 63.2 inhabitants per km², Lignières has suffered a sharp decline of 15% in its population compared to 1999.
Surrounded by the communes of La Celle-Condé, Saint-Hilaire-en-Lignières and Chezal-Benoît, Lignières is located 16 km southwest of Châteauneuf-sur-Cher, the largest town in the area.
Located at 160 meters above sea level, the Arnon River is the main watercourse that crosses the municipality of Lignières.
