Dès que l'on entre dans l'abbaye; on peut voir cette chaire. Elle est très sombre, alors que le granit du monument est très clair. Les sculptures sont finement réalisées. "La chaire à prêcher de l'église a été construite dans la seconde moitié du xixe siècle, après la reconstruction de l'église effondrée. Réalisée en bois de chêne et de châtaignier, elle est composée d'une cuve octogonale, d'un escalier avec rampe et d'un abat-voix. Quatre des panneaux latéraux de la cuve sont sculptés de hauts-reliefs figurant les quatre évangélistes, Matthieu, Marc, Luc et Jean. L'abat-voix est porté par des anges cariatides et surmonté de l'ange de la Renommée ; la colombe du Saint-Esprit est représentée à l'intérieur. La rampe de l'escalier d'accès est également sculptée, dans la masse cette fois. Une inscription latine est extraite de l'évangile de saint Luc. L'ensemble mesure plus de 6 m de haut pour 2,60 m de large. La chaire est inscrite aux monuments historiques par arrêté du 15 juillet 1993" (
