Meall Corranaich (the round hill of the corrie of bracken), is one of the Ben Lawers group of mountains in south-west Perthshire, Scotland. The group, lying between Loch Tay to the south, and Glen Lyon to the north, are named for the highest mountain in the group of which Meall Corranaich lies to the west of. The summit is marked by a small pile of stones, and is the highest point of a long undulating ridge that extends south towards the car parking area at the usual starting point, and north towards the neighbouring mountain of Meall Choire a' Leith. A high col lies between the Meall Corranaich and Beinn Ghlas to the south-east and is the usual route up to the summit as it utilises the route to Ben Lawers. The area from the summit southwards is entirely on National Trust for Scotland land.

STEEPNESS: The route up from the col to the south-east is steep but relatively short.

TERRAIN: Good paths, then a twisting pathway up the mountain amidst rocky ground. The summit area is grassy.

ACCESSIBILITY: The National Trust car parking area on the west side of the narrow road that heads over the mountains between Loch Tay and Glen Lyon is the usual starting point for the two miles to the summit, via well constructed paths.

NAVIGATION: The signposted Ben Lawers path heads northwards through a nature trail before climbing gradually to the col. From here a path snakes its way to the left up the rocky eastern flank. The knobbly ridge that leads south from the summit is another possible route, but in mist can be difficult due to no path, and many false summits.

DANGER: The path up through the rocky, craggy ground on the ascent from the col requires care.

Altitude in Feet: 3530
