Lower Macungie/Upper Macungie Boundary Marker - Trexlertown, PA USA - Public Land Survey Marks on Waymarking.com

Lower Macungie Township is located in SW Lehigh County and there are a surprising number of boundary markers along the edges of the township where roads meet the boundary. This particular marker is the border of Lower Macungie Township and Upper Macungie Township. Like all of the boundary markers in the area, it is made of cement and was erected in 1963. To the North is the Allentown research labs of Evonik Corporation and a regional bank. To the South is the fast casual chain Applebees. This marker is on the south side of Hamilton Blvd and is in excellent condition. There was a marker on the north side, but it got destroyed, probably when a motorist hit it.

Type of survey mark: Stone Boundary Marker What indicators are near the mark to help people identify where it is located?: It is about 15 ft east of a large Sycamore tree about 3 ft closer to the road than the sidewalk. Applebees parking lot is to the south. What property is this mark defining?: The boundary between Lower and Upper Macungie Townships along Hamilton Blvd.
