Binne de Koninklijke landmacht was deze tank de opvolger van de Centurion tank (https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centurion_(tank)) Er zijn verschillende versies van de Leopard in gebruik geweest. De laaste modificatie werd aangeduid met Leopard 1 V ( V=Verbeterd )

The Leopard 1 is a battle tank of German manufacture.
Within the Royal Netherlands Army, this tank was the successor to the Centurion tank (https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centurion_(tank)). There have been several versions of the Leopard in use. The last modification was called Leopard 1 V ( V=Improved ).
The tank weighs 42.5 tons, has a 105 MM cannon and a 10 cylinder diesel engine of 810 hp.
