The site of a major battle in the Revolutionary War and the only "Double Envelopment" on US Soil. This site actually has two (2) NPS Cancellation Stamps. One for the Cowpens National Battlefield & one for the Overmountain Victory Trail.

A pasturing area at the time of the battle, this Revolutionary War site commemorates the place where Daniel Morgan and his army turned the flanks of Banastre Tarleton's British army. This classic military tactic, known as a double envelopment, was one of only three in history.
