Standing tall at the address of 6563 Sunset Ave. NE in Bremerton, the North Perry Water towers were given a vivid Washington State green cover some time after 2018. There are two towers at the Sunset Reservoirs location: the large one in front and the smaller backup tower hiding behind it. The chain-link fence with barbed wire atop it suggests the North Perry Water District jealously guards its water towers against the onslaught of would-be vandals, water thieves and other nogoodniks. So don't go in there.
The North Perry Avenue Water District wishes it to be known that "each month, NPW draws over 20 water samples from key locations throughout our service area, and tests them for the presence of coliform bacteria. Regularly scheduled testing is also done for inorganics, volatile organics, synthetic organic chemical, radionuclides, and disinfectant byproducts, along with other tests as required. Testing is performed by state certified labs, and test results are routinely sent to DOH, which monitors NPW's compliance with the many regulatory standards and testing protocols required to assure safe drinking water. A Consumer Confidence Report is sent to customers annually to inform them about their drinking water." So there's that.
