The reference mark was recovered buried under several inches of soil about six feet east of a concrete slab that once supported a flag pole. Three feet west of the concrete slab is a bronze plaque set in concrete at ground level. CK8738 RM2 is in good condition.

"REFERENCE MARK NO. 2 IS 59 FEET NORTH OF THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF BUILDING AND 6.6 FEET EAST OF A FLAG POLE. THE MARK IS A STANDARD DISK SET IN THE TOP OF A SQUARE CONCRETE POST SET FLUSH WITH THE GROUND AND STAMPED WOPSY NO 2 1941."
