Le Blanc était, au début du 20ème
siècle, un nœud ferroviaire important. L'itinéraire vous emmène sur une des
voies qui partait de ce centre stratégique. Aujourd'hui transformée en Voie
Verte, c'est un tracé bucolique et ombragé ponctué d'anciennes gares. En
quittant celle du Blanc, l'itinéraire rejoint en pente douce la rivière Creuse
qu'il suit jusqu'à Saint-Gaultier où il la traverse offrant une vue sur la
ville et le site du prieuré. Les tronçons Le Blanc / Ruffec et Chitray /
Saint-Marin offrent une ambiance apaisante, la fin du tronçon plus urbaine
permet de découvrir la cité d'Argenton-sur-Creuse et rejoindre la gare. Entre
Ruffec et Chitray, la voie longe la route départementale. Cachée derrière un
ruban végétal, on l'oublie vite, le regard attiré par les paysages du bord de
Creuse

You are here – Greenway in Ruffec
Le Blanc was, at the beginning of
the 20th century, an important railway junction. The route takes you along one
of the routes that started from this strategic centre. Today transformed into a
Greenway, it is a bucolic and shady route punctuated by old stations.
Leaving that of Blanc, the route
joins the Creuse river on a gentle slope, which it follows until Saint-Gaultier
where it crosses it offering a view of the town and the site of the priory. The
Le Blanc / Ruffec and Chitray / San Marin sections offer a soothing atmosphere,
the end of the more urban section allows you to discover the city of
Argenton-sur-Creuse and reach the station. Between Ruffec and Chitray, the
track runs along the departmental road. Hidden behind a vegetal ribbon, it is
quickly forgotten, the gaze attracted by the landscapes of the edge of Creuse.
