EN: This crown is located on the edge of the small park on Rheinfelden Island. It is a copy of the royal crown of Rudolf of Rheinfelden, who was elected counter-king in 1077 and lost his life in a battle with his rival Henry in 1080.
On this island once stood Stein Castle, where Rudolf had his residence.
The King's Crown is one of four sculptures by Christina Frey dealing with Rheinfelden's past.
DE: Diese Krone befindet sich am Rand des kleinen Parks auf der Rheinfelder Insel. Es ist eine Kopie der Königskrone von Rudolf von Rheinfelden, der 1077 zum Gegenkönig gewählt wurde und 1080 in einer Schlacht mit seinem Rivalen Heinrich das Leben verlor.
Auf dieser Insel befand sich früher die Burg Stein, wo Rudolf seinen Wohnsitz hatte.
