The village of Invergowrie lies just outside the south-western boundary of the city of Dundee in Scotland, on the shore of the Firth of Tay but lies within Perthshire. The war memorial in the village formerly lay at the gateway to the village park, but vandalism forced a new memorial to be erected in the grounds of the parish church on the corner of Main Street and Errol Road. This was helped by a £250 grant from the War Memorials Trust.
The memorial takes the form of a simple Celtic cross with 29 names and inscription facing west which read as follows:
