If you went around the tall boulders and came to a 2 foot wide gap you can step over, and there is a small tree standing up out of the gap, you went a few dozen feet too far West, but if you step over and go 10 feet forward you can look to your left and see the boulder next to the boulder the mark is on.

There is a large rock on the ground right next to a boulder that is about 3 feet taller and looks a little like a great blue whale. An average sized adult can get up on this boulder. There is a gap of about 15 inches over to the next boulder. The bolt is set into the top of this.
