Tenterfield Courthouse was constructed between 1879 and 1885, replacing an earlier courthouse built in 1864. The Courthouse is constructed in rendered brick with hipped roofs featuring a clerestory window are clad in corrugated iron. The verandah is supported on timber posts with brick bases.
