The Galt Arena Gardens is located on Shade Street in Cambridge, Ontario. It is named for the area of Galt, which was once at town that has since been amalgamated into Cambridge. The arena is considered one of the oldest continuously-operating ice hockey arenas in the world and oldest operating arena in Ontario.
The historic arena was designed by architect Fredrick Charles Bodley and opened on January 20th, 1922 and has a seating capacity of 1,100. The arena is home to the Junior B Cambridge Redhawks. In the past the club was home to the Galt Black Hawks until 1955 and the Senior AAA league's Cambridge Hornets until 2006. The arena also hosts the Cambridge Ice Hounds of the Special Hockey International Team.
This year (2022) marked the 100th anniversary of the arena.
