A 4' diameter armillary sphere sundial is located in the southwest quadrant of the enclosed garden area of St. John's Episcopal Church. The sundial is set on an urn shaped marble base in the middle of a circular bed of gravel surrounded by keystone shaped slate flagstones.

The gnomon is in the form of an arrow and the hours are engraved on the sphere in Roman numerals.
