Notice in the photograph I have included is the flag of Switzerland. The building in that photo is the same as the building on the Swill Embassy website.
From the Swiss Embassy website:
"As the official representative of Switzerland, the Embassy's activities cover all areas of diplomatic relations between the two governments. It represents Swiss interests in the fields of politics, economics, finance, the legal system, science, education and culture.
HISTORY
The embassy building is the only house in the inner Spreebogen of the Alsenviertel that survived the war without major damage. Shortly before the end of the war, the Swiss legation was occupied by the Red Army, which led the last assault on the Reichstag from there. The last Swiss legation members who stayed in the building were imprisoned in the basement for almost two weeks and then taken to Moscow. They did not return to Switzerland via Turkey until months later.
After the war, the so-called repatriation delegation soon moved into the building. She took care of the Swiss refugees from the former eastern territories and also supplied the Berlin Swiss colony with food. The status of the official representation in Berlin changed several times after the war. In 1949, the repatriation delegation was transformed into a Swiss delegation. In 1973 it was converted into a consulate general. In October 1992, the Consulate General finally became the branch office of the Embassy in Bonn, after the German Parliament had decided that Berlin would again be the capital and seat of government."
