This Classical Revival style courthouse was constructed in 1885, and was renovated in 1990. The two-story red brick building faces east and the main entrance has a large porch with six high columns rising to a wide header at the roof line. The current roof line is flat, probably as a result of the renovation. Several monuments and memorials are on the courthouse square.
