Named for the man who ordered its construction, the Gotten House was built in 1871. It eventually fell into the hands of the City of Bartlett, which used it briefly as a police station. The house is now home to the Bartlett Historical Society; the house had fallen into disrepair, and the 50-year lease (at $1 per year) included provisions to restore the house; this task has been largely completed. The Gotten House was added to the NRHP in 2002.
