On Friday 26 June 1959, the 1000 meter long grass track with wide raised curves was opened in Emmeloord in the Noordoostpolder on the Sportlaan. The course is located between Sportlaan and Lemstervaart in a beautiful entourage of forest.

"Every year three grass meetings take place on the Emmeloord track in the Noordoostpolder. The Emmeloord course has a rich history and annually attracts many visitors who come to enjoy the spectacle on summer evenings.
The board of the Drafbaan in Emmeloord is back in the starting blocks for 2022. If the Corona doesn't get in our way, we will at least race 4 x again!
