Point Park is small, but you can read some history signs, sit and relax, and see the stone bridge across the water. The eternal flame is at the point of the park.

Parking is available along Johns Street.

On May 31, 1889, the South Fork Dam of the Little Conemaugh River failed and the released waters flooded Johnstown. 2209 lives were lost, and it is these that are remembered by this flame.
