Grenzen van het Romeinse Rijk – De Nederduitse Limes
Na de linkeroever van de Nederrijn over ongeveer 400 km van het Rijnlandse Massief in Duitsland tot de Noordzeekust in Nederland, bestaat het transnationale eigendom uit 102 componenten van een deel van de grenzen van het Romeinse Rijk, dat in de 2e eeuw CE, strekte zich uit over Europa, het Nabije Oosten en Noord-Afrika, meer dan 7.500 km. Het pand omvat militaire en civiele terreinen en infrastructuur die de rand van Neder-Duitsland markeerden van de 1e tot de 5e eeuw CE. Archeologische overblijfselen in het pand omvatten legioensforten, forten, forten, torens, tijdelijke kampen, wegen, havens, een vlootbasis, een kanaal en een aquaduct, evenals civiele nederzettingen, steden, begraafplaatsen, heiligdommen, een amfitheater en een paleis . Bijna al deze archeologische overblijfselen zijn ondergronds begraven.

Borders of the Roman Empire - The Lower Rhine Limes
Following the left bank of the Lower Rhine for some 400 km from the Rhineland Massif in Germany to the North Sea coast in the Netherlands, the transnational property consists of 102 components of part of the borders of the Roman Empire, which in the 2nd century CE, stretched across Europe, the Near East and North Africa, over 7,500 km. The property includes military and civilian sites and infrastructure that marked the edge of Lower Germany from the 1st to the 5th century CE. Archaeological remains in the property include legionary forts, fortresses, towers, temporary camps, roads, harbours, a fleet base, a canal and an aqueduct, as well as civilian settlements, cities, cemeteries, sanctuaries, an amphitheatre and a palace . Almost all of these archaeological remains are buried underground.
