This frieze art is located on the Main Building at the Erie Zoo on West 38th Street in Erie, Pennsylvania. The Main Building was built in 1930, not long after the Erie Zoo was founded. It was remodeled in 1991 and again between 2019 and 2022. Above the main entrance, along the frieze, is a band of lines with with animal heads in relief. Many different animals are depicted, including a lion, a camel, and a monkey. There are also larger reliefs of a tiger and a lion, as well as a large elephant's head near the pinnacle.
