The white fish on a red background has been documented as the coat of arms of Weggis since 1378. However, the fish looked different over the centuries. The present appearance with the Egli (European perch) was defined in 1988.
I found the flags (twice Weggis, twice Canton Lucerne and once Switzerland) at the bus stop at Dorfplatz in the center of Weggis.

Der weisse Fisch im roten Grund ist seit 1378 als Wappen von Weggis belegt. Allerdings sahen die Fische über die Jahrhunderte unterschiedlich aus. Das heutige Erscheinungsbild mit dem Egli (Europäischer Flussbarsch) wurde 1988 definiert.
Ich fand die Flaggen (zweimal Weggis, zweimal Kanton Luzern und einmal Schweiz) bei der Bushaltestelle an Dorfplatz im Zentrum von Weggis.
