This memorial is located outside the Pickering Public Library. The memorial is a hollow iron obelisk with red poppies dotting it. The piece was crafted by Pierre Schoss in 2014 and dedicated on July 28th, 2014 to mark one hundred years since July 28, 1914, the start of World War I.
