Pulpit Rock Tower was built in 1942-43 for Fort Dearborn nearby. It is eight floors and is sometimes open to the public. It is in its near original condition and has gone under restoration work to make it look even better. In front of the tower near the seawall is an AMTB Battery which is in ruin.
