Eagle Scout project of Vandercook Lake student Timothy Johnson from Troop 417 located in Blackman Park in Jackson, Michigan in front of the First Congregational Church. Johnson raised approximately $7000 to construct a side by sideFire Fighter Memorial and . They are dedicated to the Jackson area fire fighters and police officers who have died in the line of duty.

The memorials are marble/granite slabs that have a servicemen's prayer and a list of the fallen with their date of death inscribed.
