The Namoi River Bridge is an iron lattice bridge and was completed in 1886. The bridge has eleven metal lattice truss spans, five main half through spans, each of about 38.7m and six deck type lattice truss approaches, each of 18.5m. The approach spans include six 19m deck trusses resting on pairs of cast iron, cross-braced tubes. The main Bridge has paired, concrete-filled, diaphragm-tied iron tubes.
In 2022 the bridge was replaced as the main bridge in Manilla by a new reinforced concrete crossing 400m upstream.
