There is angled, nose-in parking right next to the amenities block, Johns River Community Hall, and oval. Nearby is a well presented Public Playground. It is most suited for traffic heading to Taree or Newcastle.
The Johns River Road continues south past the turn off to Stewarts River Road that goes over the Pacific Highway, on Koolyangarra Way to the On Ramp back onto the Pacific Highway when heading 'South'.
There is a 'gull-wing' tourist information board showing where you are on your journey, and of interesting places. A covered picnic table is at the nearby oval.
