The ELECTRIC AUTO-LITE COMPANY PLANT (tours arranged), 1230 Champlain St., employs 5,000 persons in the manufacture of starting, lighting, and ignition equipment for motor vehicles, and storage batteries, generators, horns, speedometers, spark-plug testers, and steering parts. --The Ohio Guide 1940

Site of the famous Electric Auto-Lite Strike of 1934, this factory was razed August 30, 1999 and eventually turned into Union Memorial Park in commemoration of the event.
