Parker Building
ca. 1889
Italianate Style

With its tall, narrow windows and highly decorated and bracketed cornice, the Parker Building has the classic features of the American Commercial Italianate style.

Fenestration on the first floor has a recessed metal and glass door. Flanking either side of the entry is a bay display window with a single pane creating the recess and two panes, separated by metal mullions perpendicular to the sidewalk.

Second story fenestration consists of a pair of tall, narrow three-over-one windows with a single three-over-one window flanking either side. The lintels over each window is a raised stone frame with the central portion raised further creating a rectangle effect.

The cornice is dentilated with four brackets extending past the roof line. The name "Parker" is centered on the building above the central pair of second story windows. The date "1889" appears in the entablature of a small tympanium above the cornice.
