Ford Memorial Chapel is located on North Main Street on the campus of Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Begun in 1901 and dedicated in June of 1902, construction of the chapel was funded by John Baptiste Ford in memory of his wife Mary. The chapel is constructed of Cleveland sandstone, and has numerous stained glass windows. Renovation and restoration work has been done on a few occasions since the chapel's construction, most recently in 2009. The chapel is used for Catholic and Protestant religious services, as well as concerts and lectures.
The bell tower houses a 14-note set of Deagan tower chimes, which was installed in September 1918. The chimes were a gift to commemorate William Crawford's 25 years as Allegheny College president. The chimes were refurbished in 2018 and are the oldest still-functioning set of Deagan tower chimes in the United States. The chimes are played regularly, including by students, and for special celebrations, such as commencement.
