Emo, Ontario was settled in the early 1880s and as recently as the 1930s mail service was not a certainty. A website for a fishing and hunting camp, (
visit link) states that in the 1930s a construction crew in Emo would take mail to another construction camp in the winter, where the mail would be picked forwarded by dogsled.
Today's residents of Emo have a modern facility at 72 Front Street that connects then to the rest of the world.

What brought you here?:
My wife and I decided to drive from International Falls, MN to Baudette, MN by driving through Ontario so we could Cache and Waymark in a new province. This brought us to Emo and the local Canada Post. When I stopped in to take some pictures an employee asked how she could help me and we had a nice chat about Waymarking.
