The Vancouver Island Model Engineers have long been operating at Heritage Acres. In addition to this being where the club meets, they also have over 1 kilometre of 7.5" track laid out around the northern part of the property. They even have a 12-bay roundhouse that can hold 24 trains, along with a working turntable.
The public can ride trains on an average of about 20 days per year during various events. The locomotives vary from replicas of more modern diesel engines to old steam engines.
