De VSM is een oude stoomtrein die van Beekbergen naar Eerbeek (vroeger helemaal tot Dieren) rijdt en weer terug.
Onderweg stopt hij in Beekbergen, Loenen en Eerbeek. In de zomervakantie ook op Halte Immenbergweg, speciaal voor de campinggasten van de vele bungalowparken in het Veluwse bos.
Er zijn op bepaalde dagen arrangementen waarbij bijvoorbeeld pannekoeken of een lunch gegeten kan worden. (zie hiervoor de website)
De route loopt door bos en heide gebied.
Bij bepaalde feestdagen rijdt de trein ook zoals rond halloween rijdt de griezeltrein. Met sinterklaas de pepernotentrein en met kerst de christmas express.

The VSM is an old steam train that runs from Beekbergen to Eerbeek (formerly all the way to Dieren) and back.
On the way he stops in Beekbergen, Loenen and Eerbeek. During the summer holidays also at Halte Immenbergweg, especially for the camping guests of the many holiday parks in the Veluwe forest.

History
"The line from Apeldoorn to Dieren was built in 1887 and the length is approximately 22 km. The line was festively opened on June 28, 1887. The local railway was heavily used for both passenger and freight transport (mainly wood and paper for the local industry). Regular passenger traffic ended in 1947, while freight traffic continued until 1984. The last freight train ran on June 1, 1984 and was, ironically enough, pulled by a VSM steam locomotive. In 1975 the VSM started on the Apeldoorn – Dieren line with the museum company."

"De lijn van Apeldoorn naar Dieren is aangelegd in 1887 en de lengte bedraagt ongeveer 22 km. Op 28 juni 1887 werd de lijn feestelijk geopend. De lokaalspoorlijn werd druk gebruikt voor zowel passagiersvervoer als goederenvervoer (voornamelijk hout en papier ten behoeve van de lokale industrie). In 1947 eindigde het reguliere passagiersvervoer, terwijl het goederenvervoer nog doorliep tot 1984. De laatste goederentrein reed op 1 juni 1984 en werd, ironisch genoeg, getrokken door een VSM stoomlocomotief. In 1975 startte de VSM op de lijn Apeldoorn – Dieren met het museumbedrijf."
