Halifax, Nova Scotia is quite a busy port when it comes to cruise ships. The port offers a full-service cruise terminal and is able to accommodate the world’s largest cruise ships. For the 2022 cruise season, there are 150+ cruises scheduled to visit Halifax which is great news for the city as that will be about 85% of the cruise calls that they saw in 2019.
The first ships arrive in April and continue visiting through November. September and October are projected to be the busiest months as many ships call Halifax to offer passengers the opportunity to see the beautiful autumn colours of Canada’s Maritime provinces.

Conveniently located next to the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21, you will find Dockside Shops at Pavilion 22 a vibrant, open-concept market offering a warm and friendly shopping experience for cruise passengers and locals alike. The Dockside Shops showcase regionally-handcrafted products including jewellery, gifts, apparel, accessories and signature items. Open only on cruise ship days.
