Une belle mairie, que l'on appelle Case Cumuna en Corse, le crépis est de couleur jaune, la porte est encadrée par des colonnes et un fronton en forme de chapeau surmonte le bâtiment et est agrémenté d'une horloge. Un panneau précise le jumelage.

Le village de Cargèse est situé sur la Punta di Carghjese, à près de 100 mètres d’altitude, entre l’extrémité nord du golfe de Sagone et le petit golfe de Peru.
Il est dominé par les clochers de ses deux remarquables églises catholiques, de rites oriental et latin.
Situé à 50 km d’Ajaccio, son territoire actuel faisait partie de la pieve de Paomia. En 2017, Cargèse comptait 1325 habitants, chiffre en augmentation constante.

The village of Cargese is located on the Punta di Carghjese, at about 100 meters of altitude, between the northern end of the Gulf of Sagone and the small Gulf of Peru.
It is dominated by the bell towers of its two remarkable Catholic churches, of Eastern and Latin rites.
Located 50 km from Ajaccio, its current territory was part of the pieve of Paomia. In 2017, Cargèse had 1325 inhabitants, a figure that is constantly increasing.
