1/1/1946 by CGS (FIRST OBSERVED)
DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1946 THE STATION IS LOCATED ABOUT 200 YARDS SOUTH AND EAST OF THE RAILWAY EXPRESS OFFICE IN RICHLAND, AND ABOUT 25 YARDS EAST OF THE RICHLAND POST OFFICE. IT IS A SILVER PAINTED TANK, 100 FEET HIGH WITH 4 LEGS AND BEARS THE NAME OF THE TOWN, RICHLAND, MO., IN LARGE BLACK LETTERS ON THE TANK. THE POINT INTERSECTED WAS THE APEX OF THE TANK. TO REACH FROM THE RICHLAND POST OFFICE GO EAST 25 YARDS TO THE STATION.
