The Wyben-West Farms School District was formed in 1818. Their first schoolhouse was destroyed by fire in 1860. The current one-room school house was built as a replacement in 1861. The The Wyben - West Farms School operated until 1938. Most recently it functione as a community meeting hall. Presently, it is undergoing restoration and preservation.
This little red one-room school house has wood frame construction and a gable roof. It has a projecting entrance foyer with a gable roof and three windows on each side.
