Located near Monzen-nakacho Station. "Monzen"means "in front of the Gate", and that Gate is Eitai-ji Temple's Gate. Also, The wide street called "Eitai Dori (Dori means Street) comes from this Temple.

Originally founded on 1624. But in the 1870s, the separation of Shinto from Buddhism was introduced by the Government and Eitai-ji was once abandoned.
After 1896, they re-constructed Eitai-ji Temple which is now located here in Fukagawa area.
