His Find-A-Grave  listing.
He served in World War I, in the U.S. Army.

This gentleman saw the turn of the century, an event that was highly celebrated.

He was an active and first hand witness to World War I, as he served overseas in the U.S. Army.
Staying with wars, he knew about the Vietnam War, the Korean War and was probably involved in World War II, though as a civilian this time.
He would have been a child during the Russian Communist Revolution, but it happened in his time.

Living in the St. Louis area he would have been fully aware of the huge event of the Worlds Fair in St. Louis in 1904, he would have been 11 years old and probably very excited about the event.

He lived through the depression, as a married man, and family woes would have been a load on his shoulders. He married in 1923.
No record shows if he voted for FDR or not, but was around for the entire run of that president.
