Conimicut Point Park in Warwick, Rhode Island, has a small peninsula with a sandy shoreline from which to fish. Located on Point Avenue, this park also offers scenic views and a serene setting. Vehicle parking is close to the beach and a grassy picnic area with park benches.
The Rhode Island Department of Marine Fisheries designates this as a Special Shore Fishing Area with Minimum Sizes and Possession Limits. Specific regulations exist here for Scup and Summer Flounder and are also posted near the parking lot. (See photo of sign in this Waymark's gallery.) Use caution at low tide when the water recedes to reveal a sandy spit as the returning current is strong and there is an undertow.
All Warwick parks are open from dawn til dusk, unless posted otherwise. Beach status and closing information can be found on the department of health website.
