Visit the ruins of the Roman bath of Iuliomagus and get to know interesting, surprising and amusing information about the bathing culture in the Roman era.

As in every Roman town, the thermal baths - alongside with the forum - are situated the centre. The edification has been built in the 1st century AD and transformed several times over almost 300 years.

As every Roman bath, the one in Iuliomagus includes a cold (frigidarium), lukewarm (tepidarium) and warm (caldarium) bath. A central heating (Latin: hypocaustum) produced and circulated hot air below the floor of a room, and may also warm the walls with a series of pipes through which the hot air passes. This air can warm the upper floors as well.

In the museum, there are descriptive panels and a few objects on display.
