This sculpture by David Lopes is at the Museum of Colorado Prisons. The figure is about 6' high and made of metal. Several incarceration-related devices/symbols surround the prisoner, all of which is on a round concrete base.

A posted sign at the entrance gate states the museum is open Daily 10-6, but I would check on the website before arriving.

Text on plaque:

Incarceration Sculpture
By: David Lopes, #63259

This sculpture deals with the three stages an inmate can experience while incarcerated. First, the humiliation of being brought into the prison system. Second, is breaking the bondage of the mind that has brought the individual into confinement. The third stage comes through the education of the mind to find a new horizons in which to grow.
