This bench can be found on Sea Cliff Road close to the entrance to the path which leads down to the beach at Onchan.
This weathered-brown wood and concrete bench has a horizontal slatted seat and a backrest set on concrete supports which also act as armrest.
On the top slate of the backrest is a rectangular plaque with the following dedication:
‘In Memory of
LEONARD ALBERT
LENEGHAN
11-5-1931 – 16-8-2044’
Below the dedication 2 framed photographs have also been attached the upper photograph showing the Leneghan’s as a young couple and the lower photograph showing them in later years.
The bench is positioned on a tarmac area alongside Sea Cliff Road in Onchan looking out across Douglas Bay.
