"604 South Alamo - Fire Station No. 7
Strategically located near the intersection of East Durango Boulevard and South Alamo Street the two-story Spanish Colonial Revival-style building at 604 South Alamo Street marks the north entrance into the neighborhood. It is a prominent physical and architectural landmark in the historic district and, according to a plaque near the building's front entrance, was built in 1924 during the tenure of Mayor John Tobin. Suetter & Simons, a local architectural firm, designed the building, and E. Rheiner & Company served as general contractor."
