"The Plainview Fire Department was organized in 1909. The department took over emergency medical services (EMS) in 1985.

The Fire / EMS Department provides fire suppression, fire prevention, and emergency medical services for the City of Plainview and surrounding area including:

  • Annual flow testing and maintenance of fire hydrants

  • Business inspections, pre-fire plans, and safety surveys
