Emmaus Moravian Cremains Garden - Emmaus, PA - Worldwide Cemeteries on Waymarking.com

Thanks to donations from several Emmaus Moravian Church parishioners, a beautiful Cremains Garden was constructed in the Church's new Cemetery. Cremation has become a popular alternative to conventional burial, and the new Cremains Garden provides that alternative in a simple, yet elegant and perpetual setting at a reasonable cost to parishioners.

The Garden features a central cremains burial area in the form of a cross, surrounded by paver walkways, plantings and a perimeter fence. Two granite benches are provided for visitation and contemplation. Centrally located is a large granite name wall that is inscribed with the name of the deceased, year of birth, and year of death. Inscriptions would be made periodically during the year.

The Garden is user friendly. Parishioners can have a quiet burial ceremony with family, friends and a pastor. A portion of the common burial area is prepared for ashes within the 3’ x 2’ cross. Following burial ceremonies, the excavated material is returned to cover the ashes.

Since it was created in 2020, there are maybe 5 or 10 people's cremains interred here as of 2022.
