Old wooden clock face from the church clock on the bell tower at St Andrew's church, Colyton. Located in the south east corner of the tower inside the church.
The tower was restored in 1934 after a fire the previous year. One can only presume that this wooden clock face was removed at that time.
The tower is mainly 15th and early 16th century work in lower parts of tower and chancel. Work of 1765 and 1816 probably date the clock face to this period of late 18th/early 19th century.
It has a black stained wooden face, with faded gilded roman numerals.
